TAMIU Diploma Party Ushers in New Digital Diploma

TAMIU Diploma Party

This Friday, when recent candidates for graduation from Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) return to campus for a celebratory Diploma Party to pick up their degrees, they’ll also be ushering in a new digital age at TAMIU...for the first time, a digital diploma will be available as well as a physical diploma.

Diplomas can start to be retrieved in the Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center (ZSC) lobby from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, May 24, 2024.

TAMIU has partnered with Parchment, the world’s largest academic credential management platform and network, to deliver the new service to TAMIU graduates.

TAMIU assistant registrar Sophia Gutiérrez said the digital diploma is the new currency for authenticated diploma sharing.

“The digital diploma provides a level of accessibility, security, and verification that can advantage our graduates. It’s a great way to enhance applications and share news of this milestone personal accomplishment.   For example, graduates with a digital diploma can quickly share their new digital diploma on their LinkedIn account, a winning strategy as they begin or continue their job search,” Gutiérrez explained.

Spring 2024 graduates will receive a link from Parchment on Friday to their Dusty email accounts which will provide them access to their digital diploma.

Diplomas are only available to those candidates who have complied with all TAMIU graduation requirements and have cleared all holds.

TAMIU alumni will also soon be able to request their digital diploma.  Details are forthcoming from the Office of the University Registrar. For additional information, email graduation@tamiu.edu, phone 956.326.2250, or visit offices in the ZSC, room 121.
