Shakespeare Returns to TAMIU with Free Performances of ‘Greatest Hits’ and ‘Hamlet’ Oct. 15 – 16
The iconic words of world-renowned playwright William Shakespeare will once again enchant audiences at Texas A&M International University's (TAMIU) Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Theatre.
Two back-to-back evening performances are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 15, with a rendition of "Shakespeare's Greatest Hits," followed by the Bard's quintessential tale of tragedy, "Hamlet," on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Both performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. and are free of charge and open to the public.
The performances feature the traveling cast of the Kilgore College-based Texas Shakespeare Festival's (TSF) Roadshow. This is the third year that TSF has presented Shakespeare performances at TAMIU.
Spearheaded by TAMIU assistant professor of English Dr. Kaitlyn M. Culliton, the performances are made possible by TAMIU's College of Arts and Sciences. The production has also benefited from the generous support of artist accommodations and stays by La Posada Hotel.
