TAMIU SBDC Offers 'La Academia del Emprendedor' Business Workshops in Spanish

Texas A&M International University's Small Business Development Center (TAMIU SBDC) will offer a series of free, online workshops in Spanish in September aimed at supporting entrepreneurs across South Texas.

Led by experts, the workshops, titled, "La Academia del Emprendedor" (The Entrepreneur's Academy) the sessions will cover key topics such as Google tools, leadership, human resources, finance, and how to start a business, said Norma Rodríguez, TAMIU SBDC director.

“This annual Academy is a source of great pride for us," Rodríguez said, "It drives our commitment to organizing these courses with the goal of connecting entrepreneurs throughout South Texas.”

Workshop dates include the following: Human Resources Management, Tuesday, Sept. 16; The Five Functions of Effective Leadership, Wednesday, Sept. 17; Boost Your Sales with Google Tools, Thursday, Sept. 18; From Generalist to CEO, Tuesday Sept. 23; How to Start Your Business, Wednesday, Sept. 24 and Financial Management, Friday, Sept. 26.

The workshops will feature experts from Google, Inzynch, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Edgar Ruiz and Business On Direction.

Each session will be held online, live via Zoom at 10 a.m. Registration is required for every workshop. A Zoom account is not necessary.
