Key reminders and deadlines to help your Future Dustdevils move smoothly from application to enrollment.
APPLICATION & SCHOLARSHIP ESSENTIALS
SCHOLARSHIPS
The priority deadline for TAMIU’s Merit-Based Freshman Scholarships is Dec. 1. Please encourage students to submit and complete their admission process by that date to guarantee scholarship funds.
SCHOOL EMAILS
Inform students to use their personal email on all applications and forms. Encourage them to avoid using their school email, since these typically expire upon graduation.
ONLINE TOOLS
Encourage students to check their admissions application status online at myapp.tamiu.edu.
TSI
It’s never too early to encourage taking the TSI Placement Exam. Advocate for students to take it to ensure college readiness. Some exemptions may apply.
DUAL CREDIT COURSES
Your students may potentially earn credit for college courses they took while in high school. Encourage them to submit their official college transcript(s) to TAMIU.
AP EXAMS
Depending on the AP exam and the score your student earns, they may be eligible to earn credit for college courses. Recommend they send us official AP scores as soon as they become available.
