First-Time Freshman Merit Scholarships

Our freshman scholarships are honorary, four-year, merit-based scholarships awarded to high academic achievers.

There are three opportunities for graduating high school seniors to qualify for one of five TAMIU First-Time Freshman Merit Scholarships by means of 1) high school ranking, 2) SAT scores, or 3) ACT scores.

Using these three qualifiers, students only need to fulfill one of the requirements in any set category as outlined below. Furthermore, students must be first-time freshmen and be admitted to TAMIU by February 1 (priority deadline).

There is no need to submit a separate application to qualify.
