7518 Student Assistant $7.25 - 10.00/hour (lab) Serve as a resource for students, communicating course-related skills and assisting with the utilization and manipulation of lab instruments and materials. Assist faculty members with the preparation and cleanup of laboratories and other activities related to the course. Monitor timed activities (ex: exams.) Compare student submissions to faculty-developed standards. Deliver demonstrations of referenced skills. (facility) Provide general information service, in person or by phone, at the information desk of the Student Center such as dispensing campus directions and general information about University activities, services, and offices. Provide general assistance in the daily operation and maintenance of the Student Center such as setting up meeting/event rooms (tables, chairs, basic AV equipment, staging, etc.) and performing general maintenance of the facility (sweeping, picking up litter, vacuuming, spot-cleaning, periodically checking spot-cleaning, straightening up public areas, re-stocking bathrooms as necessary). Assist with special projects related to the department. Position may involve moving/lifting heavy objects as well as bending/kneeling/stooping.
7678 Student Research Assistant $7.25 - 10.00/hour Work under the direction of faculty for the collection, evaluation, and reporting of research data. Use various equipment, materials, and methods to accurately perform research. Position may require travel.
7391 Student Data & Information Assistant $7.25 - 12.50/hour Duties solely involve computer work that may include data entry; data manipulation, editing, proof-reading, and maintenance; desktop publishing; assistance with website design and maintenance.
7710 Student Manager $8.00 - 10.00/hour Responsible for overseeing the operations of a facility in the evening, on weekends, and/or during other pre-arranged hours. Duties include staying abreast of facility policies, guidelines, and procedures; preparing reports; assisting to plan, develop, implement activities; opening/closing the facility; training and supervising other student workers; ensuring smooth operation of events, meetings, and other activities of the facility; ensuring security and safety; managing emergencies and conflict resolution appropriately; and/or assisting with special projects related to the department. Individual must possess excellent customer service skills, as well as effective and professional interpersonal skills. Position may involve moving/lifting heavy objects, as well as bending/kneeling/stooping. Position may require maintaining current First Aid and CPR certification.
9013 GAT-Master's Level (Graduate Assistant-Teaching) $667 - 2,000/month Responsible for assisting 1 or more faculty members with teaching and other activities related to the course. The action form must indicate that the graduate assistant is not instructor of record (IOR).
9003 GANT (Graduate Assistant-Non-Teaching) $12.50 - 25.00/hour Responsible for assisting faculty and other University personnel with complex clerical and/or administrative assignments. Duties may include grading.
9011 GAR-Master's Level (Graduate Assistant-Research) $667 - 2,000/month Responsible for assisting faculty with a research project/agenda. The research project/agenda must be faculty-supervised. The duties may involve data collection/processing, writing, editing, library research, and/or science lab work.
9012 GAT-Doctoral Level (Graduate Assistant-Teaching) $667 - 3,000/month May be assigned to one or both of the following: (a) primary classroom teaching (instructor of record or IOR) of at least 1 formally organized course involving serving as instructor of record, assigning final grades, holding office hours, and/or participating in systematic in-service training; (b) assisting 1 or more faculty members with teaching and other activities related to the course. The action form must indicate if IOR or not. If IOR, the action form must identify the course.
