Nineteenth Century Literature: The Victorians.
Three semester hours. (SP-Even)
Period course in English poetry and prose of the Victorian age. Writers may include Charles Dickens, the Bronte sisters, the Rossettis, Tennyson, George Eliot, John Ruskin, Elizabeth Gaskell, Matthew Arnold, Charles Darwin, and Oscar Wilde. Prerequisite: Three hours sophomore literature or consent of instructor. May be taken for graduate credit.
