Dee Michell Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for first year graduate students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program. The award is $1,500. Dee Michell was a student who died of cancer at the age of 20, before she was able to finish her college education. Her family supports this annual scholarship for one MACP entering student each year.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DEE MICHELL MEMORIAL GRADUATE PSYCHOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP

  • This is a simple application process. We want students to apply and use this scholarship. Here is all you have to do to apply:
  • Secure a copy of your most recent income tax return. Attach it to the application. This is confidential information that only the Scholarship Committee of the College of Art and Sciences will review. It will be returned to you within 10 day of selection of the recipient of the scholarship.
  • Create a double-spaced statement of the goals and values you wish to pursue as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Counseling Psychologist. This is a concise statement and should not be more than two pages long. Attach it to your application.
  • Complete the demographic information on the application (i.e. your name, SS#, address, etc.)
  • Sign and date the application and submit it to the Office of the Director of MACP Program. The staff person who receives the application will sign and date it also. Deadline for
