| Text Analysis. |
| Three semester hours. |
| Analysis of structural units contributing to the meaning of Spanish and English language texts at different levels: individual words, syntactic forms, paragraphs, etc. Examination of various categories of texts with special focus on text-specific terminology, figurative language, idiomatic expressions, and cultural allusions. Practice of same language translation, summaries, pr‚cis, and renderings at different levels of formality. Prerequisite/corequisite: SPAN 4350 or 4351. |
