| ENGL 3300 | 
| Advanced Composition. | 
| Three semester hours. (FL/SP/SS) | 
This is a writing intensive course offering further discussion and practice in the analytical
      expository, and argumentative essay with the ultimate goal of producing confident writers in all
      personal, academic and professional writing situations. In addition to continued mastery of the
      writing process, students will also review elements of grammar, usage, and style and become
      adept editors of their own work. Passing the University Writing Assessment is a requirement for
      successful completion of this course. Mastery of grammar and mechanics will be expected.
      Students must take the course until passed with a grade of “C” or better. Prerequisite: Six hours
      sophomore literature or consent of instructor. May not be taken for elective credit. May not be
      taken concurrently with prerequisites. Course does not substitute for English 3361.  |
