Statistics in Criminal Justice
Three semester hours.
This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to basic concepts and techniques necessary for a preliminary and profecient understanding of criminal justice research. Emphasis will be placed on analyzing and interpreting research findings using a standard statistical software package that includes descriptive statistics, inerential statistics, and bivariate analysis. Prerequiiste for CRIJ majors: Twelve hours of CRIJ lower-level required courses. Prerequsite for non-CRIJ majors: Twelve hours of social sciences outside of CRIJ.
