EDCI 5201
Early Methods and Management of Diverse Populations.
Two semester hours.
Intended to assist induction year teachers develop a sound understanding of ECE-4 Learner-Centered Proficiencies; ethical and legal aspects of teaching as mandated by TAC rule 230.19; developmentally appropriate practices, and TEKS implementation. Developing an understanding of how student diversity affects and influences instruction will be emphasized. Students must earn a "C" or better to successfully complete the course. Prerequisite: Admission to the Educator Preparation Program and EDCI 5300. Restricted to post-baccalaureate students working toward certification.
