EDCI 5300

Introduction to Teaching and Learning.

Three semester hours.

This course provides an introduction to education, including a survey of theories and principles of child and adolescent development, current research on appropriate instructional strategies developmentally appropriate practices, and the impact on diversity and exceptionality on teaching and learning. Effective strategies for meeting the needs of English Language Learners will be emphasized. Prerequisite: Graduate standing. Students pursuing the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) must be admitted to and in good standing in the College of Education.
