Upon graduation the student will:
- Demonstrate basic teaching skills in music that support the possibility of completing the ACP requirements for public school teaching.
- Demonstrate innovation in the application of creative ideas as developed
through cross-curricular learning.
- Apply a professional work ethic through critical thinking that creatively
combines the backgrounds of the two major fields of study.
- Model self-confidence and assertiveness that promotes successful
performance in their skills-related fields.
B.M. Performance
Upon graduation the student will:
- Apply patience, discipline and resilience towards competition for graduate
programs.
- Demonstrate the organizational skills necessary to manage a long-term
artistic project.
- Apply flexibility to adapt under stressful situations both professional and
personally while advocating for the arts.
- Recognize and identify continued practice methods for self-improvement as
a professional musician.

Upon graduation the student will:
- Develop and apply leadership through coaching and mentoring students.
- Analyze student progress with the intent towards making effective and
appropriate pedagogical decisions.
- Apply excellent communication skills that illustrate a disarming approach
to resolve student and administrative issues.

professional development.
