Recruit students and professors from all disciplines to strengthen their own Spanish by enrolling in Spanish courses.
Develop a Virtual Field School to attract students to LAS and to allow them to learn about another Latin American culture at its source.
Acquire library and teaching materials to support the Latin American Studies and Spanish language curriculum.
Develop an internship program in cooperation with local institutions.
Establish a speaker's bureau to send faculty and selected LAS students out into the community, particularly to schools, to foster interest in and knowledge of Latin American issues.
Conduct an annual Latin American Studies Week on campus with faculty and student presentations, music and dance, food, art, and other regionally oriented activities.
