MISSION STATEMENT
"Encourage learning and development of clinical judgment and reasoning with the goal of delivering high-quality and safe clinical care."
The university fulfills its mission by providing a comprehensive learning environment that develops students’ clinical judgment and reasoning skills through evidence-based instruction and simulation exercises. This approach ensures graduates are well-prepared to deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care in a variety of healthcare settings.
About TAMIU Simulation Program
The TAMIU Simulation Program provides a realistic, hands-on learning experience that bridges classroom theory with clinical practice. Using high-fidelity manikins and advanced simulation technology, students develop critical thinking, communication, and clinical skills in a safe, supportive environment. Guided by experienced faculty, the program fosters teamwork, patient safety, and confidence for success in real healthcare settings.
Community Outreach
TAMIU proudly opens its doors to elementary, middle, and high school students, providing them with meaningful opportunities to explore health and science in an immersive environment. We also host health science magnet programs, giving students the chance to practice and learn using our state-of-the-art simulation labs and equipment. Through these hands-on experiences, young learners are inspired to develop their skills, deepen their curiosity, and envision future careers in healthcare.
