Texas A&M International University’s Small Business Development Center (TAMIU SBDC) is offering five online workshops through Nov. 29.

The workshops are free and open to the public.

The final online workshop offered will be on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., and is titled “Cybersecurity and Your Small Business.” Participants will learn the basics of online security, ways to identify common digital threats, and steps to protect their business online.

TAMIU SBDC's mission is to help small businesses start and grow, said Norma Rodriguez, TAMIU SBDC director.

The free, online workshops are designed to serve as steppingstones for entrepreneurs to start and grow their small businesses. By attending the workshops participants can acquire the knowledge and the tools necessary to succeed in business, Rodriguez said.

"Professional development is very important for small business owners and continuing to enhance their skills is beneficial to the continued growth of their businesses," she said.
