Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) offices and services closed  Thursday, June 19, 2025, in an authorized observance of the Juneteenth federal and state holiday. Summer Session classes were also suspended.

The Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library, Rec Center, and City of Laredo Tennis Complex at TAMIU were also closed.

All TAMIU offices reopened for services and classes resumed June 20 at 8 a.m.

Juneteenth serves as an annual commemoration to the end of slavery in the U.S. after the Civil War. The national holiday was signed into legislation in 2021 by President Joe Biden.

Registration for TAMIU’s Summer and Fall 2025 is currently underway.
