This Fall, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) welcomes students with an affordable, accessible, and exceptional higher education experience.

A proud Member of The Texas A&M University System, TAMIU provides 54 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree programs. It is continuing its commitment to helping parents and students by keeping programs affordable. Undergraduate students will not experience a tuition increase for the fifth year in a row.

New this Fall is the offering of “Bright Start” classes that begin at 7 and 8:30 a.m., accommodating students’ busy working schedules. A sister initiative, “Night Start,” expands on classes available at 7:35 and 9:10 p.m. Both affirm the University’s student-focused mission to advantage students to graduate on to better lives that drive better futures.

The University’s continued ability to deliver those brighter futures was further secured by the 89th Legislative Session, noted TAMIU interim president Juan J. Castillo

“As our history attests, TAMIU’s success, growth, and excellence are empowered by our Legislative team members, led by Senate Dean Judith Zaffirini, who has championed our University’s growth throughout our nearly 55-year history.  Alongside Representatives Richard Peña Raymond and Don McLaughlin, we saw an increase in General Revenue funding, and $3 million in supplemental funding for new Civil Engineering and Computer Science degrees,” Castillo said.

TAMIU has been ranked 2nd for Low Net Price and 5th nationally for “Best Bang for the Buck” among Southern Colleges by Washington Monthly.  It ranked 4th for Best Value in Texas by Niche Best College Rankings, which ranked TAMIU 5th Among Top Public Universities in Texas. WalletHub ranked it 8th among Texas’s Top Ten Universities…the only campus of the 12-member Texas A&M University System so ranked.

Recently, TAMIU earned Research College & University and Opportunity College & University designations in the new 2025 Carnegie Classifications, elevating the University’s research and teaching prowess.

In addition to financial aid options, TAMIU provides leadership development, internship, and honors programs. Study abroad programs take students worldwide, and the Reading The Globe Program provides first-year students an inspiring study experience.

The University’s “Quality Enhancement Plan enhances student learning through LEARN (Learning Experientially: Active Real-world Navigation), enabling students to actively apply knowledge and skills.
