Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is accepting applications for its Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice Program, a hybrid doctoral program designed for both working professionals and traditional students seeking advanced research and leadership preparation in the field.

TAMIU's Ph.D. in Criminal Justice Program is designed to guide students through an advanced, supervised course of study in criminology, crime, and the criminal justice system. It also educates students on contemporary crime problems and the viability of potential policy and criminal justice agency responses to crime.

Applicants are encouraged to apply by the priority deadline of March 15, which allows for full consideration for admission and available assistantship opportunities. The final application deadline is May 15.

The Program distinguishes itself in research excellence by challenging students to engage in groundbreaking research in criminology, law enforcement, corrections, and criminal justice policy with renowned faculty mentorship, said Dr. Daniel Scott, TAMIU associate professor and director of the Ph.D. in Criminal Justice Program.

"The Program is designed for both traditional students and working professionals with flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend classes in a hybrid learning format," he said, "Students will learn from distinguished scholars and experienced practitioners with expertise across all Criminal Justice disciplines."

In addition, the Program prepares graduates for senior leadership roles in law enforcement and corrections, academia, policy development and consulting, Scott said.
