TAMIU Summer Camps Bring Robotics, Athletics and Adventure to Campus

From robotics and reading to athletics and outdoor play, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is once again opening its campus this summer to hundreds of young learners through a diverse lineup of camps and enrichment programs designed to spark curiosity, build skills and create memorable experiences in a university setting.
Offered through the Office of Continuing & Professional Education, Summer Camps 2026 at TAMIU provide structured academic, athletic and recreational opportunities for children and teens across multiple age groups.
One of the signature offerings, Dusty’s Junior University Summer Camp, serves children ages 5–10 with hands-on learning in STEM activities, art, and group-based discovery designed to encourage creativity, teamwork and exploration. Lunch option is provided daily by Aramark. The camp is offered in four sessions meeting Monday through Thursday: June 1–11, June 15–25, June 29–July 9, and July 13–23. Daily operations run from drop-off between 7:45–8 a.m., instruction from 8 a.m.–3 p.m., regular pickup from 3:10–3:30 p.m., and optional aftercare from 3:30–5:15 p.m.
For middle and high school students, the TAMIU PREP (Pre-freshman Engineering Program) provides a five-week academic enrichment experience for incoming 6th–10th grade students from June 1–July 2, meeting Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program emphasizes STEM coursework, including robotics, coding and problem-solving.
TAMIU will also offer Athletics Summer Camps in basketball, volleyball, baseball, soccer, softball, cheer and dance, and tennis.
Men’s Basketball Camps include a Kiddie Camp for kindergarten through fifth grade scheduled June 15–18 from 9 a.m. to noon. A Basketball Prospect Camp for 11th grade and older will take place June 20 from noon to 5 p.m. Elite Camps are scheduled July 6–7 for middle school students from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and July 8–9 for high school students from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Women’s Basketball Camps include Elite Camps for ninth through 12th grades and are scheduled June 23, July 30, and Aug. 8 from 12–4 p.m.
Volleyball Camps include a Prospect Camp for 11th grade and older on June 6 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Dusty Junior Camp for middle school students is from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and the Future Dustdevil Camp for high school students is from 2-5p.m. Both middle and high school camps are scheduled June 9–11.
Baseball Camps are scheduled June 6, July 7, and Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Women’s Soccer Camps are scheduled July 20–21 for middle and high school students from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., and Men’s Soccer Camps are scheduled July 22–23 for first through seventh graders from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The TAMIU Spirit Kiddie Camp will take place July 27 from 8 a.m. to noon. The TAMIU Spirit Intensive Camp is scheduled June 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Softball Prospect Camps are planned for Aug. 22, Sept. 12, and Nov. 22 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Recreational programming includes the REC Sports Summer Camp, held June 1–11 and June 15–25 at the TAMIU Rec Center for ages 5–13. The camp runs Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and costs $210 per session.
The TAMIU Tennis Summer Clinic 2026 will take place at the City of Laredo Tennis Complex at TAMIU. It offers two sessions, June 1–11 and June 15–25 and runs Monday - Thursday, for ages 9–17, with beginner, intermediate and advanced skill levels scheduled in designated morning time blocks at various times during the morning.
All camps and programs are coordinated and overseen by the Office of Continuing & Professional Education, which ensures compliance and program quality across campus offerings.
