TAMIU at LC Day Scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 21

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) will host TAMIU Day at Laredo College (LC) on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside the Kazen Center, giving LC students a chance to explore transfer options and learn more about continuing their education at TAMIU.
The open house brings together representatives from across the university to provide students with information and personalized guidance about the transfer process. Students can meet with representatives from admissions, financial aid, housing, the testing center, student engagement offices and other key student services.
Academic representatives from the University’s four colleges will also be available to discuss degree programs, academic opportunities and pathways for LC students interested in transferring to the University.
Mirian Granados, director of the Office of Recruitment and School Relations, said the event is designed to help prospective transfer students connect directly with University representatives and get the support they need to transfer successfully.
“Our open house at Laredo College is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to get one-on-one assistance from our dedicated staff members. We want to ensure a smooth transition for our transfer students by offering the support necessary for success,” Granados said.
LC students can also visit an on-campus transfer office at the LC Ft. McIntosh campus, located in the Lerma Peña Building, room 240. There, staff will answer questions and provide personalized guidance.
