#TAMIUGivingTuesday

Nov. 27, 2018

On this global day of giving, we celebrate selflessness, kindness, and generosity. TAMIU has participated in #GivingTuesday since 2015, continuously increasing the positive impact that our students, faculty, staff, and community members have on our University. Visit our #TAMIUGivingTuesday website for more information or participate by making a gift today

Penny Wars

Dates TBD

Hosted by our Student Philanthropy Council at the start of every fall semester, this "war" is between all Colleges and Schools at TAMIU with funds benefiting an area on campus that either needs financial assistance with a project or has some kind of general need. Since its initiation in 2015, Penny Wars has raised over $3,600! You can see this year's video, or check out some cool pictures on Instagram and Facebook.

Random Acts of Kindness Week

Monday, Feb. 26 - Friday, Mar. 2, 2018

Held on the week of Valentine's Day every spring semester, Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Week is a great way to spread the love at TAMIU! You can expect to find a decorated, inspirational rock on campus, an empowering note in the hallway, a free hug, or even a free ride to class in a golf cart! You can participate by spreading kindness and love around campus as well.

Walk the Path

Dates TBD

We started the Walk the Path event in fall 2017 with a very simple goal: empower students, faculty, and staff by encouraging them to walk a path. This path was decorated with posters reminding people of all the things they are: beautiful, strong, unique, and more. Once people walked the path, we gave them a flower, a candy, and an inspirational quote inspired by the poster themes! Check out the video.

Student Philanthropy Week

TBD

Hosted by our Student Philanthropy Council during the spring semester, this week is full of fun! You can expect fun games and the opportunity to help us say THANK YOU to all of the individuals, offices, and departments that help you succeed throughout your time at TAMIU. Keep up with us on Instagram and Facebook for more information!

Class Giving Campaign

Ongoing

The greatest way to say thank you, pay it forward, and make your mark at TAMIU is by participating in the Class Giving Campaign. Graduating students - both undergraduate and graduate - are asked to donate a minimum of $25 for the Class Giving Campaign, which funds the Dustdevil P.R.I.D.E. Scholarship Endowment. Your donation will make its way to a TAMIU student in need and help them achieve what you're about to. You can donate here or find out more information on our website
