Media and Crime
Three semester hours. (SP)
Analyzes the images of crime, criminals, and the criminal justice system that are presented
through major mass and entertainment media in the United States. Students will be able to
examine how the media portrays violence, crime and criminals; influences crime policy; and,
impacts public perceptions of crime and victimization.
