Accessibility Purchases

Texas A&M International University strives to make its programs, services and activities accessible to all students, faculty, staff and general public who visit our campus. One way we are working to remove accessibility barriers is to procure software and hardware that meets in accordance with Texas Administrative Code: Title 1, Chapter 213, Subchapter C, Texas Administrative Code: Title 1, Rule 206.70, and Texas Government Code 2054, Subchapter M. Access to Electronic and Information Resources by Individuals with Disabilities. These statues provides standards for Digital Accessibility.

Texas A&M International Standard Administrative Procedure 29.01.03.L0.01, Rule 29.01.99.L1 and System Regulation 2901.04 supports state and federal laws that govern Digital Accessibility which include, but are not limited to:

  • Software applications and operating systems
  • Websites
  • Telecommunication products
  • Video and Multimedia products
  • Hardware, including desktop computers, laptops, and closed products such as copiers, printers, kiosks, etc.
