According to Master Programs Guide, TAMIU’s MPA program’s ranking was derived using several criteria including commendation, accreditation, accessibility and specialization availability.

“The GRE is the standard test used to assess an applicant’s readiness for graduate-level programs for many schools,” Master Programs Guide states, “However, there has been a recent trend of schools foregoing the GRE test score requirement as part of the application process.”

The site further states, “Schools are looking at other factors, and this translates into prospective students having the option of pursuing degrees without having to take the GRE.”

For its part, Master of Finance looked at four criteria before ranking TAMIU’s Master of Finance Degree program. They include tuition points, student-to-faculty ratio points, national recognition, and bonus for special tuition discount for online students.

“The list of the top 50 best online finance masters degrees in 2018 is tailor-made for the ambitious individual who has earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and has a few years of professional experience,” the site states, “It is likely that you are now considering your next move. For those individuals who make the jump to a higher degree, a master’s of science in finance, the jobs outlook is encouraging.”

Dr. Peter Haruna, TAMIU MPA program director, said TAMIU’s Online MPA Program is committed to preparing students interested in seeking careers in the public and nonprofit sectors as well as to lead and manage public agencies, programs and projects.

“The MPA program is especially beneficial for mid-career professionals seeking to enhance their professional knowledge and skills,” Dr. Haruna said, “The MPA program also offers a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management for students who wish to pursue careers in nonprofit management.”
