TAMIU Remembers Fallen During ‘Celebration of Life’

Center for the Fine and Performing Arts

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) hosted its annual “Celebration of Life” memorial on Monday, May 23, 2022, at 6 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) Recital Hall.

This year’s in-person event was the first since the two-year pause necessitated by the COVID-19 Pandemic. The use of masks continued to be recommended.  The Ceremony can be viewed here.

The event served to both celebrate and remember the lives of 64 alumni, students, faculty and staff who have passed away over the past year.

The Celebration included musical performances by University Organist Dr. Colin Campbell and the Memorial Bells of the First United Methodist Church.

Following the procession, a reception was held for family and friends in the CFPA Lobby.
