TAMIU Continuing Ed Offers Online Certificate Course in Organizational Communication Management

Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Office of Continuing Education will be offering a new online certificate course in Organizational Communication Management beginning Monday, Sept. 25, 2023 and continuing for five weeks, ending Friday, Oct. 27.

The online course, taught by Dr. Juan Espinoza, is intended to provide students with the skillsets needed to enhance their self-awareness, and become mindful communicators, effectively managing for quality. Students will also become acquainted with classical, new, and post-modern public administration theories to further heighten their self-awareness of their important workplace role, and how they can have an organizational  impact in  fulfilling its needs and mission.

The online course objectives include: becoming self-aware of personal attributes and acquainted with fundamentals aligned with personal growth to become effective leaders and communicators; demonstrating critical thinking by conceptualizing similarities and differences between classical, new, and post-modern public administration theories; learning the importance of communicating effectively to empower the organizational culture, and becoming acquainted with various theories and practices to heighten self- awareness skillsets as effective, mindful leaders.

Course readings will be provided online via course shell and students are required to read two  peer-reviewed articles per week and  engage with other students in discussion posts via the course shell. Students are required to submit assessments to ensure engagement and participation.

Course Cost is $1500.
