TAMIU LBV Planetarium Closed this June 2025

The Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium (LBV) at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) will be closed throughout the month of June for projection system maintenance.
“We apologize for the inconvenience but look forward to providing you and your family with great entertainment soon,” noted Peter Davis, LBV Planetarium director.
Individuals are encouraged to follow the Planetarium on social media at https://www.facebook.com/txamiu.planetarium/ and to monitor its website https://www.tamiu.edu/planetarium/ for updates on planned July showings.
The Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium, named after the late renowned Laredo philanthropist, opened to the public in April 2005.
The 40-foot dome of the Planetarium is inside a four-sided glass pyramid topped with a gold leaf pinnacle. The glass pyramid Planetarium building is a shining beacon at TAMIU and one of the foremost Laredo attractions.
