TAMIU Office of Public Relations, Marketing, and Information Services Garners Multiple National Awards

Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Office of Public Relations, Marketing, and Information Services (PRMIS) was recently named a multiple award-winner in both the 41st Annual Educational Advertising Awards and the Collegiate Advertising Awards.
This year’s Educational Advertising Award winning entries were:
Gold: 55th Anniversary Logo Design
Bronze: New Start, New U Social Media Ad Campaign; Let’s Get this Bread Promotional Campaign, and 2025 Zombie Run Event Materials.
Merit: 2025 Annual Report: Our Journey Continues

Clamont affirmed, “Through storytelling in web, social media, print and beyond, we aim to capture not just milestones, but the lived experiences of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community leaders who contribute to, shape, and are transformed by the University’s impact. We are grateful to be recognized by national experts in higher education marketing for the work we do in sharing TAMIU’s story.”
Leading the PRMIS team alongside Clamont are Mika Akikuni, associate director of marketing; Alejandra Covarrubias, administrative associate IV; Michael Gutiérrez, coordinator of web initiatives; Joshua González, communications specialist I; José G. Hernández, III, communications specialist I; Christine Rojas, assistant director of Communication and Marketing; Rolando Santos, video and photographic coordinator; Ana Vargas, director of digital media; Marco E. Villarreal, publications and graphic design specialist, Georgina Zamudio, graphic designer III, and student workers Juan Gerardo Barrera and Karla Martínez.
The Educational Advertising Awards received over 2,000 entries from over one-thousand colleges, universities and secondary schools from the U.S. and abroad. Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals.
The Collegiate Advertising Awards is a prestigious competition that honors excellence in higher education communications, marketing, advertising, and promotional efforts across the United States and Canada. Submissions were evaluated by a national panel of industry professionals and scored on a 100-point scale. Awards were presented to entries receiving the highest scores, placing them among the top 16% in the nation for advertising excellence.
