El Metro U-Pass Student Bus Program Offers Affordable Transportation Option for TAMIU Students
This Fall, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) students can purchase a special bus pass for the upcoming Fall 2026 semester.
The El Metro U-Pass Student Bus Program provides subsidized bus services, offering more affordable transportation options.
To help students obtain their U-Pass, El Metro will be at TAMIU on Friday, Aug. 21 and Monday, Aug. 24 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 – 3 p.m. at the Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center (ZSC) Info Mall.
Students planning to use Financial Aid can visit the Bursar’s Office in ZSC 137 to purchase their U-Pass, while those paying out of pocket can visit the Registrar’s Office in ZSC 121 to purchase theirs.
The Fall Transportation Service Fee is $250, reflecting a 20% discount on typical fixed bus fare expenses for a student riding the bus four times a day. Students who use El Lift can also participate with Fall Service Fees of $312.
