Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)
The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) is an appropriately constituted administrative body established to oversee the care and well-being of live vertebrate animals used for research and educational purposes by Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) faculty, employees, graduate, and undergraduate students, regardless of the source of funding. IACUC reviews, approves, and oversees live vertebrate animal research in accordance with the appropriate federal regulations and the Guide for the Care and Use of Vertebrate Animals (Guide), as required by TAMUS Regulation 15.99.07 Use of Vertebrate Animals.
