Volunteer with SBDC

Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center as a presenter. In this role, you will provide business training on a specific topic related to your expertise and engage small business audiences through online and in-person presentations.

SBDC partners benefit from their involvement in several ways:

  • Leverage your knowledge and experience to positively give back your business community
  • Expand your business reputation
  • Network with local business experts and clients
  • Opportunity to receive local or national recognition for your efforts

Volunteering is a great way to feel like you're a part of something bigger and more meaningful, and if you have the time and inclination, you can put it to good use by assisting local businesses. You can make a meaningful difference in a business owner’s life by giving your time and experience and SBDC is the place to do that!

Workshop presenters serve as instructors providing live business training to small business owners. You may be a good fit for this role if you’re a skilled and engaging public speaker, and you have experience teaching skills to different types of learners. If you volunteer for this role, we will request samples of your presentations and information about your business experience.
