The Restoration and the Eighteenth Century
Three semester hours.
A study of the drama, poetry, and prose of the Restoration and the eighteenth century. The course examines cultural, social, and political developments influencing the writers under study. Authors may include Congreve, Dryden, Pope, Swift, and Samuel Johnson. Prerequisite: Three hours sophomore literature or consent of instructor.
