Late 19th Century American Literature
Three semester hours.
A study of American literature from the Civil War to the beginning of World War I, featuring the emergence of American humor and realism. Authors may include Whitman, Dickinson, Twain, James, Howells, Crane, Chopin, Wharton, and Robinson. Prerequisite: Three hours sophomore literature or consent of instructor.
