Issues in Modern Composition Theory
Three Semester Hours
An intensive study of topics related to modern composition theory and application that guides current trends in best practices for teaching writing. Course investigation may include assessment strategies, writing across the curriculum initiatives, grading techniques, grammar for the advanced classroom, developmental writing, peer review techniques, teaching writing in multicultural settings, addressing ESL/ELL/EHL issues, adult literacy, and computer mediated instruction. May be repeated for credit when topics vary. Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
