Texas A&M International University (TAMIU)  ranks No. 4 out of the Top 20 Most Affordable Schools in Texas for a Bachelor’s degree, according to online source, Affordable Schools.

TAMIU President Dr. Pablo Arenaz said TAMIU is committed to making higher education affordable and accessible for all students.

“We are extremely proud to be recognized as the No. 4 Most Affordable School in Texas,” Dr. Arenaz said, “This is a testament to how our administration and faculty, by listening to our students and communities we serve, have created a world-class higher education destination that advances generations of students. This ranking looks at affordability, class size and student success -- all indicators TAMIU values highly.  As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, accolades like this truly affirm our mission,”  Dr. Arenaz said.

To arrive at its results, Affordable Schools followed a methodology developed around affordability, class size, and student success, and assigned points to each institution based on average cost of attendance, student-to-faculty ratio, and graduation rate.

In the new ranking TAMIU places above 16 Texas  universities in affordability including: Tarleton State University, Texas A&M University-Texarkana, Angelo State University, Sam Houston State University, University of Houston, Texas Tech University, Criswell College, University of North Texas, Arlington Baptist University, The King’s University, Midland College, University of Houston-Victoria, University of Houston-Downtown, University of Houston-Clear Lake, Texas Woman’s University, and The University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley.
