TAMIU Observes State, Federal Juneteenth Holiday

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) offices and services will close Monday, June 19, 2023, in an authorized observance of the Juneteenth federal and state holiday. Summer Session classes will be suspended, as well.

Offices will reopen and classes resume Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 8 a.m. 

Juneteenth serves as an annual commemoration to the end of slavery in the U.S. after the Civil War. The national holiday was signed into legislation in 2021 by President Joe Biden.
