Following the Academy's recent visit to TBA headquarters, Cox, who serves on the Banking Academy Advisory Council, praised the students.
"They impressed us with their curiosity, preparation, professional attire and demeanor, and genuine enthusiasm for pursuing leadership roles in banking," he aid.
Dr. Luis A. Perez-Batres, Dean of TAMIU's A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business, said, "We are grateful to the Texas Bankers Association for this investment and its partnership with the TAMIU Banking Academy. Together, we are developing the next generation of banking leaders who will contribute to the economic vitality of South Texas and beyond."
