TAMIU Housing and Residence Life Gears Up for Move-In Day Friday, Aug. 21

As students ready for the upcoming Fall semester at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), Housing and Residence Life is gearing up to welcome residents back to campus living.
Move-In Day, an annual tradition that marks the beginning of the residential experience, is happening Friday, Aug. 21 at both the TAMIU Residential Learning Community (RLC) and University Village (UV).
Residential life refers to the community experience students have while living in university housing. It includes social events, support services and opportunities for personal growth, affirmed Luis Stagg, director of Housing and Residence Life.
“Our aim is to create a welcoming environment for all students. At TAMIU, living on campus means being at the heart of the university experience, with convenient access to campus resources, activities, and opportunities just steps from your door. As move-in day approaches, students are getting ready to find their home on campus, build new connections, and begin another chapter of their journey,” said Stagg.
Students interested in living on campus can still apply for a living space. They are encouraged to begin the application process by visiting www.tamiu.edu/housing
On-campus housing amenities range from a dedicated residents-only computer lab equipped with high-speed internet, a game room, a pool area, volleyball courts, on-site laundry facilities and dedicated community spaces. Housing and Residence Life also hosts a variety of activities throughout the semester. To view events and other happenings, visit https://www.instagram.com/txamiuliving/
