Closeout Project
Closeout occurs when all administrative actions and scientific work are complete, and final deliverables (e.g., technical report) are submitted and accepted by the sponsor.
- TAMIU closes projects per award terms, submitting final technical and financial reports.
- Closeout procedures vary by sponsor, award type (grant, cooperative agreement, contract), and terms.
- The PI must review the award document for closeout details and deadlines.
- Awards are complete when work is finished or the award expires/terminates.
- Without renewal, supplement, or no-cost extension, closeout is required.
- For reports needing an Authorized Official’s signature, submit to the Office of Grants & Contracts for guidance.
