K-8 Community Outreach, Campus Tours, and Programs

TAMIU Campus Visits

The Office of Outreach and Pre-College Programs can provide campus visits to students in elementary and middle school. Each campus visit is customized based on the requests of the group. The following activities are made available for a truly interactive experience:

The Office of Outreach and Pre-College Programs is available to G.O. (Go On-site). Please contact us at outreach@tamiu.edu if you are interested in a TAMIU professional visiting your school/organization for a college/career presentation, parent presentation, college/career fair, science fair, and more.

Discover TAMIU

  • Discover TAMIU is a University-wide Open House offering students of all ages, their families, and community members the opportunity to experience Texas A&M International University. This one-day event is packed with hands-on activities, student performances, and informative sessions.

TAMIU Summer Programs

Past summer programs provided by the Office of Outreach and Pre-College Programs for elementary school and middle school students. Contact outreach@tamiu.edu for any questions about these programs.

  • 3D Design and Print Summer Program - High School
    • Join the Department of Engineering and the Office of Outreach & Pre-College Programs in a 5-day 3D Printing Summer Program. Students will learn basic 3D printing skills and take home a 3D printer at the end of the program.
  • 3D Design and Print Summer Program - Middle School
    • Join the Department of Engineering and the Office of Outreach & Pre-College Programs in a 5-day 3D Printing Summer Program. Students will learn basic 3D printing skills and take home a 3D printer at the end of the program.
  • Engineering Program - Middle School and High School
    • Join the Department of Engineering and the Office of Outreach & Pre-College Programs in a 5-day workshop that will inspire students to learn, think creatively, collaborate, and solve problems in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
  • Math Enrichment Program - High School
    • Join the Department of Engineering and the Office of Outreach & Pre-College Programs in a 5-day workshop that will enhance students' abilities to develop connections between mathematics and science. Covered topics include: Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus 1/2/3, and Ordinary Differential Equations.
  • Youth Nursing Summer Camp - For ages 10 to 14
    • Join the Office of Outreach & Pre-College Programs and the College of Nursing & Health Sciences for a full day of nursing basics & activities!
