"The Texas Leadership Scholars Program was an incredible program to be part of. I had the opportunity to meet new people, give back to the community, and grow through meaningful mentoring, leadership development, skill-building opportunities, and impactful workshops. The program played a key role in preparing me for my future career and supported me throughout my undergraduate journey toward earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Although nursing school was challenging and often demanding, the mentors were understanding and supportive, working with me so I could continue giving back to the community and supporting my peers. I am truly grateful for the guidance and support I received, and I plan to carry the lessons, values, and skills I gained from this program into my future endeavors. Something I’ve always believed is that determination and focus can turn challenges into growth.
