Mission
The Office of Assessment, Research, and Planning (OARP) supports Texas A&M International University’s mission and vision by promoting institutional effectiveness through assessment, strategic planning, data analytics, and reporting. Its purpose is to foster data-informed decision-making, continuous improvement, and accountability across the University.
OARP fulfills this mission by:
- Leading and supporting meaningful assessment and planning processes for student learning and administrative effectiveness.
- Guiding strategic planning using measurable goals and key performance indicators.
- Developing analytical and forecasting tools for areas such as enrollment, retention, degree production, human resources, and facilities.
- Ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance through sound data governance practices.
- Anticipating information needs and providing innovative data visualizations and resources.
- Managing institutional and external reporting requirements for state, system, and federal entities.
- Conducting survey research to assess student experiences and transform findings into actionable insights.
- Overseeing compliance with SACSCOC and discipline-specific accreditation standards.
