STEM Recruitment, Retention, and Graduation STEM-RRG Scholarship Program
STEM-RRG Scholarship:
Scholarship Amount:
- $1,000 or more
Application Deadlines:
- June 1st for Fall Semester
- October 1st for Spring Semester
Scholarship Duration:
Fall Applicants:
- Students who apply by the June 1 deadline and are selected will receive the scholarship for both Fall and Spring, as long as they continue to meet all eligibility requirements. They do not need to reapply for the Spring.
Spring Applicants:
- Students who apply by the October 1 deadline and are selected will receive the scholarship for Spring only. They must reapply the following Fall to be considered for the new academic year.
Requirements:
- At least 3.0 GPA or above.
- Undergraduate student at TAMIU.
- STEM majors (mathematics, physical science, pre-engineering, biology, chemistry, computer science, computer engineering, system engineering, petroleum engineering, and environmental science).
- Full-time student (enrolled in 12 hours or more).
- Completion of Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application is required.
- Concurrent students are not eligible for the awards.
This is an ongoing scholarship available every academic year, funds permitting.
