17th BUAP-UAMI-UTRGV-TAMIU Joint International Conference
The Department of Mathematics and Physics at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is proud to host the 17th BUAP-UAMI-UTRGV-TAMIU Joint International Conference, taking place November 13-15, 2026, in a hybrid format.
This conference series originated from the ConTex Collaborative Research Grant (awarded in F2017 for six years period) to foster research partnerships between institutions in Mexico and the University of Texas System. The series began as a collaboration between Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), later expanding to include the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Iztapalapa (UAMI). TAMIU now joins as a host institution for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the conference's growth and in strengthening the university's international academic collaborations.
The conference brings together faculty and students from the participating institutions to present research and explore collaborative opportunities in mathematics and related fields, giving TAMIU a valuable opportunity to advance research partnerships and showcase our programs, faculty, and students' research, and campus to the broader academic community. This conference is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas A&M International University. Registration is free for faculty and students.
