School of First Year Experiences

This course focuses on developing life-long self-determination skills, specifically self-awareness, self-regulation, self-advocacy, and self-empowerment. You will learn the importance of having a growth mindset, finding purpose and relevant engagement, and feeling a sense of belonging at TAMIU. These concepts will be examined within an international Common Read, and through career exploration and financial literacy.
