TAMIU announces call for proposals for the International Fine Arts Festival to be held on TAMIU campus in Laredo, Texas October 2 - 4, 2026. Proposals must feature one or more works by contemporary composers worldwide, composed after 1945. Music by American composers will not be excluded, however, the preference will be given to composers from other countries. Professionals and college students are encouraged to apply. We are accepting submissions for standalone performances, solo recitals, lecture-recitals, and academic presentations.

Submission Guidelines & Restrictions

• Technology: No technology will be provided for performers at the 2026 festival. Performers must supply their own equipment (e.g., laptops, speakers, pedals). Lecture-recitals and academic presentations will have access to standard classroom technology.
• Recording: Participants are responsible for recording their own performances.
• Deadline: June 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM CST
• Notification of results: July 31, 2026
• Conference fee: $75 early bird special before 8/30/2026, full price of $100 on or after 8/31/2026
• No payments accepted after September 15, 2026
• Schedule going live August 31, 2026
• Registration requirement: All accepted performers must register for the festival by September 15, 2026.
