Engineering Program 2018

June 25th-29th, 2018 Workshop

The first EP workshop took place from Monday, June 25, 2018, to Friday, June 29, 2018. This week-long program consisted of the following 10 modules:

  1. Foundations of Engineering
  2. 3D printing Techniques
  3. Chemistry in Action
  4. Introduction to Programming and C++
  5. Electrical Engineering Hands-on Activities
  6. Texas university application process, financial aid system, and scholarship opportunities
  7. Panel discussion: What do engineers do?
  8. TAMIU Robotics Lab Tour
  9. Robotics Build-Up and Competition
  10. Project presentations

August 6th-10th, 2018 Workshop

The second EP workshop took place from Monday, August 6, 2018, to Friday, August 10, 2018. This week-long program consisted of the following 10 modules:

  1. Find Your Route into Engineering
  2. Electrical Engineering – Hands-on Experiment
  3. TAMIU Campus, TAMIU Robotics Lab and Machine shop Tour
  4. Introduction to Programming and C++
  5. Introduction to Robotics
  6. Texas university application process, financial aid system, and scholarship opportunities
  7. Panel discussion: What do engineers do?
  8. Math and Engineering
  9. Robotics Build-Up and Competition
  10. Project presentations
