Software Review
All software installed on a TAMIU device must be reviewed and approved before acquisition. Please click on the link for the Software Review Process.
Acquiring Software
All University technology purchases, including any program, software, application, or cloud service used by TAMIU Faculty, students, and/or Staff, must be reviewed and approved for accessibility, security, and compatibility.
Quotes cannot be approved until software accessibility and security have been approved. Please note that OIT does not approve contract documents.
Approved quotes/specifications do not explicitly or implicitly grant the receiver rights to purchase. Only budget unit heads can authorize any such purchase.
Security requirements are reviewed and approved by the OIT Security Team. Please get in touch with itsecurity@tamiu.edu for security review documentation.
Accessibility requirements are reviewed and approved by Lydia Harkey. Please get in touch with our office for VPAT information or Lydia Harkey at lydia.harkey@tamiu.edu.
Note:
All software purchased by TAMIU will be required to be registered to software@tamiu.edu. End of support of the software by the software developer will require uninstalling the software and purchasing a newer supported version. Software purchased with personal monies may not be installed on TAMIU computers.
